María Aceves
Founder/Executive Producer
María Aceves, with a photographic memory and a knack for numbers, is the not-so- secret weapon at BHC. This accomplished multi-lingual Producer brings a finance background to the Creative Producing process and has helmed the last seven years of worldwide BHC productions while also leading the company’s strategy and growth initiative.
Prior to BHC, Maria was active as an independent Producer and Consultant in hundreds of Multi-Platform Campaign and Brand Development projects for Fortune 500 companies and renowned professionals in film, television and technology.
In addition, Maria is a Co-Founder of LA Panda Productions, the Los Angeles based commercial and feature film company whose mission is to create a bridge between Hollywood and Spanish language content. María and La Panda have seen success with many projects including Rosalia’s “Dí Mi Nombre”, Aloe Blacc’s “Wake Me Up”, the TIFF premiered “La Camarista” and their SXSW audience award-winning feature “10.000 Km”. Her latest full-length documentary with BHC is L7: Pretend We’re Dead, the story of the seminal grunge punk band, L7.
María’s strong interest in education has led her to help young filmmakers of tomorrow through a select group of charity organizations. She serves as the Vice Chair Emeritus of Breaking into Hollywood, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps aspiring artists in turning their passions into careers in the entertainment industry.
María is also a speaker as a Production expert, having been invited to participate in conferences at UCLA, University of Georgia…, and, most recently, Hakaya Misk in Riyadh.
